Terre Haute Man Accused Of Beating Woman For Over Four Days

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – A Terre Haute man has been arrested Saturday on seven felony and two misdemeanor charges for allegedly beating a woman over a four day period.

According to the victim, 37-year-old Travis Ray told her if she left him and tried to escape, he would strangle her with a rope he had for her in the basement.

He allegedly kicked the woman, punched her in the face, and held her down and strangled her until she was unconscious

She suffered rib and facial bone fractures.

Documents show the victim had an active restraining order against Ray at the time of the attack.

He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
