
VIGO COUNTY, Ind – During a Thursday morning hearing, the trial of the man charged in the shooting death of a Terre Haute woman requested that his trail be delayed.
Police say 24-year-old Connor Scott who is formerly from Martinsville, Illinois, walked into the Danville, Indiana police department earlier this year and confessed to the October 2014 murder of 20-year-old Kaylyn Whitaker in his home.
Originally Whitaker’s death was initially considered a suicide.
The Judge in the case changed the date for the trial from May 14th to August 13th.
The defense attorney had hinted at a possible plea deal but so far none has been reached.
