Ivy Tech To Hold Class On How To Pay For College On Tuesday

TERRE HAUTE – Ivy Tech Community College will host an information session to help people learn about college funding sources on Tuesday, May 14 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at Ivy Tech Terre Haute, at 8000 S. Education Drive. Attendees will learn about financial aid, grants, free career training funded by the Indiana’s Workforce Ready Grant, and scholarships.

Information about a new Ivy Tech scholarship for African American students will be available. Recipients will be awarded a $2,000 scholarship to attend Ivy Tech Community College Terre Haute, renewable for up to two years. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is May 15.

To qualify for the Workforce Ready Grant, individuals must be Indiana residents, must have a high school diploma or GED/HSE, may not have previously received a bachelor’s or associate degree, and must file a FAFSA. The grant is managed by in partnership by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education and the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
