Danville, Ill Man Arrested With BAC Way Over The Legal Limit

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Saturday night (5/18/19) around 11:30PM, the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a vehicle that had driven into a field behind a tractor and planter.

The vehicle entered a farm lane just south of a residence on CR 200 W and north of State Road 32. The vehicle then drove approximately a 1/2 mile down the lane and entered the field to the south.

When Deputies arrived, they found a passenger car in the field.

The driver, 41 year old Patrick T. McGuire of Danville Illinois did not know how he got there or where he was at the time.

McGuire had obvious signs of impairment and refused all field sobriety and chemical tests.

He was taken to Union Hospital in Clinton for medical evaluation where his blood alcohol level was found to be .34%.

McGuire was arrested.

Police say that an empty bottle of Vodka was located at the scene.

McGuire has a prior arrest for Driving Under the Influence (2011) and his driver’s license is revoked from Illinois.
