Former Cayuga Clerk-Treasurer Will Have To Pay Back Money She Stole

CAYUGA, Ind.  – The former Cayuga clerk-treasurer has pleaded guilty to theft from a program receiving federal funds.

Sami Dillon will serve five years on probation, pay restitution in the amount of nearly $53,000 and perform 200 hours of community service.

Investigators said she stole cash utility payments and did not deposit them in the town’s accounts and she lowered her own utility bills.
