CLAY COUNTY, Ind  – A Brazil man was convicted by a jury Wednesday on charges of child molestation.

A jury convicted Brice Holden on a child molestation charge, which carries a possible sentence of up to 12 years.

The case stems from a juvenile who reported inappropriate physical contact by Holden in 2017.

He was also found him to be a habitual offender, which could add six to 20 years to his sentence.

Holden had previous felony convictions.

Sentencing is set for July.

A previous story incorrectly identified this as the verdict in a separate case involving Holden on charges of child neglect.

In that case Holden was one of four people arrested in February after police say they found six small children living in a Clay County home in terrible condition.  Police found sewage backed up into the sink and they found trash on the floor.
