Teen Sentenced To 300 Days Plus Probation For Crash That Killed South Vigo Student

VIGO COUNTY, Ind.  – A Vigo County court has accepted a plea agreement for a local teen charged in connection to a fatal car crash that happened in February.

Under terms of the agreement, 16 year old Bryce Switzer-Couthen pleaded guilty to Reckless Homicide and Criminal Recklessness and two other charges were dismissed.

Switzer-Couthen was sentenced to 300 days in Indiana Juvenile prison and then probation until age 19.

He will also have his license suspended for four years.

Police say that Switzer-Couthen was driving at a high rate of speed when he crashed.

Three passengers were ejected and survived.

17 year old Jenna Perrelle was killed.
