VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Sunday (6/16/19) night around 10:30 PM, the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Deputies were told that the power had gone out in several areas in the county.

While deputies were investigating, dispatch received a call around 10:50 PM stating that a tree had fallen across the roadway on CR775 S near the intersection of CR150 E  and had struck the power lines on the opposite side of the roadway.  That caller said that he did not see the tree in the roadway and struck it with his vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle, 29 year old Ryan Hoggatt of Clinton was able to exit the vehicle and was not injured.
