Fountain County Man Leads Police On Chase, Held By Parke County Residents For Officers

PARKE COUNTY, Ind – Sunday Parke County Deputies were advised about an Indiana State Police pursuit involving passenger car in northern Parke County.

 

The pursuit entered Fountain County before eventually returning to Parke County and ending near 5316 W. Bowsher Rd.

 

The driver, 32 year old James D. Allen of Covington, fled on foot.

 

Several Police and K9s were deployed in the area to track him down but the search was suspended.

 

Around 4:30 that afternoon Parke County dispatch was called by home owners in the area of the pursuit and that they had found Allen and were holding him until officers arrived.

 

Allen was taken into custody for an active arrest warrant out of Hendricks County for possession of Methampetamine.

 

He is also facing several charges in Vermillion, Fountain and Parke Counties.

 

Multiple police agencies were involved in the pursuit.
