VIGO COUNTY, Ind – Vigo County computers have been hit by malware / ransom ware today. That has left several computers unusable while others are not being used to prevent possible damage.

County Commissioner Brendan Kearns told us today that the attack gained access to the county’s system through an email to a court employee’s offical county email account.

Kearns said that as of midday Tuesday no ransom has been demanded.

Computer experts have been brought in to try and fix the problem.

All  county offices are open but some services are not available.
