VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Vermillion County Deputies have arrested an Illinois man on charges of felony Auto Theft.

Police say that Sunday night around 11:00 p.m. an Illiana EMS Medic Unit reported an SUV was traveling south bound in the north bound lanes of State Road 63 near State Road 234.

The vehicle entered the McClure’s gas station parking lot, turned around and began to travel East on State Road 234.

Police then stopped the vehicle and it was found that the SUV was reported stolen out of Grundy County Illinois.

The driver, 24-year-old Jacob Smith of Morris was arrested.
