Clay County To See Small Hike In Local Income Tax

CLAY COUNTY, Ind – Clay County residents will soon see a rise in their county option income tax.

Monday evening the Clay County Council approved a 1/10th of 1 percent rise to be spent on the emergency services dispatch.

It is estimated that it will cost a resident making $50,000 annually an additional $50 per year.

The tax hike passed by a vote of 6-1.
