Two Arrested In Mecca On Drug Charges And For Allegedly Pointing Gun At Utility Worker

MECCA, Ind – On Tuesday (8/27/19) Parke County Sheriff’s Deputies received a tip about drug activity at a residence in Mecca.

It was also reported that one of the residents pointed a gun at a utility worker while he was trying to work at the property.

During the investigation, deputies arrested 26-year-old Joseph Davis, of Mecca, and 44-year-old Dennis Kouns of Terre Haute.

Davis was charged with Maintaining a Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Intimidation, for pointing, what was learned to be a BB gun, at the utility worker.

Kouns was charged with Visiting a Nuisance, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Syringe, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

Both were taken to the Parke County Jail where they are being held on a $10,000 bond.
