Pendleton Correctional Officer Charged With Trafficking With An Inmate

MADISON COUNTY, Ind – A corrections officer at the state prison near Pendleton is accused of trying to smuggle a controlled substance to an inmate.

James Minnick has been suspended without pay.

It’s likely he’ll be fired from the job he had held since March.

He was arrested on charges of “trafficking with an inmate a controlled substance” and “official misconduct.”

He was being taken to the Madison County Jail.
