VIGO COUNTY, Ind.  – Charges have been reduced against a Vigo County employee.

46-year-old Holly Silver of Clinton will now face one count of criminal conversion.

Authorities say Silver used a county credit card between December 2018 and May of this year for personal purchases.

Silver was a longtime employee and director of the child support division.

Silver told investigators said she made some of the purchases by mistake but she deliberately made some of the purchases knowing she was not allowed to.

She did submit personal checks to pay for items when she submitted receipts.

She has been appointed a public defender and will be back in court on November 21.
