CLAY COUNTY, Ind.  – A Terre Haute man accused of rape is now in police custody.

Police arrested 26-year-old Joe Joseph last week in Alaska.

Joseph allegedly raped the woman nearly a year ago at a party where several people had been drinking, including the female victim.

It is believed that the woman was unaware it was happening.

Joseph made an initial court appearance in Clay County Court Monday.
