PARKE COUNTY, Ind – A new medical option is being offered to students and staff of North Central Parke Schools. Primary care services are now being provided on site at Rockville Elementary School and Parke Heritage High School by Valley Professionals Community Health Center.

Christi Busenbark, nurse practitioner and Amy Clarkson, site manager, are seeing patients at these added sites on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Though the clinic is housed at these sites, Turkey Run Elementary and Parke Heritage Middle School students are encouraged to use these services as well.

Students and NCP staff members are eligible to receive health care services for immunizations, wellness exams as well as sick child visits.

“Our goal is to assist the school, parents and students in making medical services easily accessible,” said Busenbark.  “We will see all students who are not feeling well on the same day we are present in the school.”

The on-site clinic is an additional service to the Mobile Health Bus that travels to Turkey Run Elementary and Parke Heritage Middle School. Information and schedule for the Mobile Health Bus can be found at https://valleyprohealth.org/mobile/

Behavioral health services are also being provided by trained providers. These services are for a student who needs assistance with behavioral and/or emotional challenges and are tailored to student needs.
