Rosedale Man Faces Charges Of Animal Cruelty

PARKE COUNTY, Ind – On Monday (10/21//19) Parke County Deputies received a complaint of possible animal neglect at 6617 S. US 41 north of Lyford.

 

Shortly after their investigation began, Deputies contacted the Indiana State Veterinarians’ Office for assistance.

 

During the investigation several dead farm animals were located on the property along with several other farm animals that were living in extremely poor conditions and suffering from malnutrition.

 

Officers seized the remaining live animals including 3 pigs, 7 very young calves, 1 adult cow, 5 sheep, 2 goats and 2 ducks.

 

They are being kept for further evaluation by the State Veterinarians’ Office.

 

The owner of the animals, 68-year-old Gary L. Dunkley of Rosedale was arrested on 10 counts of Animal Cruelty and 10 counts of Failure to Dispose of a dead animal.

 

He is being held on $10,000 bond.
