SHELBURN, IN – On Thursday afternoon, officials from Ohio Valley Gas Company worked quickly to seal a damaged underground gas line, near SR 48 and Division Road (Pennsylvania St.) in Shelburn.

A construction crew struck a gas line around 3:39 PM.

Officials had temporarily closed SR48 and US41 near Shelburn and began to evacuate a nearby residential area.

Officials from Ohio Valley Gas Company called off the evacuation around 4:00 PM.
