VIGO COUNTY, Ind – Monday (12/2/19) was the deadline to file an application and proposal to operate a casino in Vigo County with the Indiana Gaming Commission.

Spectacle Jack LLC was the only entity to file a proposal.

Applying for the license requires a $50,000 fee.

The entity chosen for the license would also have to pay the commission a $5 million license fee.

The state requires the chosen operator invest a minimum $100 million in the project and 35% of that would have to be in non-gaming activities.

The Gaming Commission is not expected to select and operator until the first part of next year.

Spectacle Entertainment is proposing “Rocksino by Hard Rock,” be 100,000 square feet and employ about 600 workers. The facility would also include a 300-seat entertainment theater, restaurants and bar.
