PARKE COUNTY, Ind. – An Owen County man was arrested Friday evening after police say he left the scene of a crash while under the influence.

The crash happened around 6 P.M. on S.R. 59 just south of Bellmore.

The driver, Randall Lintz of Spencer, fled on foot. Rockville Police and Indiana State Police used a drone and canines to find Lintz in a nearby wooded area.

The second vehicle was found about 400ft away in a ditch.

The driver of that second car, 35 year old Danielle VanDuyn of rural northern Vigo County, was not seriously hurt. She told us that she was hit head on at a high rate of speed. VanDuyn said that she was able to crawl out of her vehicle by kicking out a window.

Police say that marijuana was found inside the vehicle and believe that Lintz was under the influence.

He was arrested and taken to the Parke County Jail.
