PARKE COUNTY, Ind – Two people were rescued from flood waters this weekend in Parke County.

Saturday morning the Marshall Volunteer Fire Department reports that two people in a pickup truck tried to drive around a covered bridge on a concrete slab at the Portland Mills Dooley Station.

The truck ended up in the river, and that’s where it will stay until the water goes down.
