Two Face Drug Charges After I-70 Traffic Stop

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind – Sunday evening (1/12/20) around 5:30 p.m., Indiana State Police stopped a car on I-70 at the 43-mile marker for following too closely.

The driver was identified as 27-year-old Taylor M. Branson, of Greencastle, IN. Police say that Branson was under the influence of a controlled substance and that he refused to submit to a certified chemical test. He was arrested and taken to the Putnam County jail. During a search at the jail, officers found methamphetamine and paraphernalia.

A passenger in the vehicle, 20-year-old William W. Lowe, age 20, of Rockville, was found to be wanted out of Putnam County on an active warrant for failure to appear.  He was arrested and taken to jail.
