Vermillion County Police Look For Driver After Sunday Morning Crash

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Early Sunday (1/19/20) morning around 1:20 a.m. Vermillion County Dispatch received a 911 call about a traffic accident on Kennedy Lane involving a pickup truck and a utility pole.

Deputies say that a pickup was traveling southbound on Kennedy Lane when it left the roadway, ran over a fence and collided with a Duke Energy utility pole.  The impact broke the pole in half causing several downed power lines.

Crews from Duke Energy secured the power lines so that the pickup could be removed.

Vermillion County Sheriff Mike Phelps says that this is an ongoing investigation and the owner of the vehicle, and its driver have not been located.
