SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. – A traffic stop has led to the arrest of a Carlisle man on theft charges.

On Wednesday, police pulled over 49-year-old Stephen McCarter for an equipment violation and that is when police learned that his license was suspended.

They also found that an ATV in the back of McCarter’s pickup truck had been stolen in Knox County.

McCarter faces charges of theft and driving while suspended.
