TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce held its annual Groundhog Day Economic Forecast in Terre Haute Tuesday.
Gerry Dick, from Inside Indiana Business, spoke at the event and said he thinks that there’s some momentum in the area.
He explained Amazon, Fiat, and Toyota have all recently announced big investments in the state and that the counties in our region are working together to build the economy.
Dick also said a business to watch in Terre Haute is Clabber Girl.
Hulman and Company sold Clabber Girl to B & G Foods last May.
Dick said that B & G oversees more than 50 brands and the CEO who spoke at Tuesday morning’s event, indicated to him that there is a possibility of moving some new production, and some of their other brands here to Terre Haute.
