VIGO COUNTY, Ind – A Vigo County man told police that four black males pulled up next to his truck and fired three shots at him while he was stopped in traffic.
The incident allegedly happened on U.S. 41 at Carlisle Street.
Deputies checked the truck but could find no exit holes in the truck but did find a spent 9mm casing in the truck.
After further investigation, the driver told police he had made up the whole story up after had accidentally discharged his own firearm.
Police seized the gun at the scene.
