CLAY COUNTY, Ind – Indiana State Police are investigating an overnight shooting on State Road 340 west of Brazil, that claimed the life of a Brazil, resident.

At approximately 9:00 p.m., Sunday night (2/16/20) the Clay County Dispatch Center received 911 call reporting shots fired at 2055 State Road 340. The Brazil City Police Department and Clay County Sheriff’s Department, along with other first responders, found an individual inside the residence with gunshot wounds.

That person had already died.

An autopsy is scheduled for today at Regional Hospital.
