GREENE COUNTY, Ind. — A scammer is calling people in Greene County, posing as a member of the Sheriff’s Department.

A scammer posing as “Lt. Wade” is telling people they have a warrant out for their arrest. He says they need to turn themselves in or go to the department to give a DNA sample.

Police say the scammer is using multiple numbers that aren’t able to be traced.
