Two Arrested After Traffic Stop In Vermillion County

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – Friday night (2/29/20) around 10:30 PM, Vermillion County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on St. Rd. 32 at the intersection of Water St. in Perrysville.

Chandler J. Summers

The driver, 20-year-old Chandler J. Summers of Covington was arrested following an investigation for drug activity. Summers was taken to Union Hospital of Clinton for chemical testing. According to the test results, Summers had Amphetamine, MDMA, Benzodiazepines, and opiates in his system.

 

 

Laura Hayes

During the investigation, 35-year-old Laura Hayes of Stockwell, In.  provided a false identity, became disorderly, and made threats to law enforcement on scene. She was taken into custody after Deputies discovered her true identity. Hayes then made threats to Deputies on scene and stated that she could not wait until the next officer was shot.

 

 

Both, Summers and Hayes were transported to the Vermillion County Jail.

Both are being held at the Vermillion County Jail on a $10,000.00 (with 10% allowed) bond.
