Man Shot By Police Released From Hospital And Taken To Jail

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — A man shot by police in Terre Haute is out of the hospital and behind bars.

Jeremy Ross was shot Friday, March 6, during a traffic stop. Terre Haute Police said Ross, a passenger in a car that was pulled over, took out a gun and refused to put it down.

Two officers, Sgt. Adam Loudermilk and Patrol Officer Daniel Johnson, pulled out their guns and fired at Ross. Ross was shot and injured.

He was taken to Regional Hospital in Terre Haute for treatment and released Tuesday. Ross was then transported to the Vigo County Jail. He’s charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon.

Sgt. Loudermlik and Patrol Officer Johnson have been placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation.
