TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Kroger has announced that it will provide one time bonuses to “frontline” employees.
The $300 appreciation bonuses are for full-time hourly employees and $150 checks will go to part-time employees.
Employees can expect to see the money the first week of April.
The company is also expanding its COVID-19 emergency leave guidelines to include paid time off for self-isolation.
Kroger’s CEO calls these workers “true heroes” for their efforts to serve the public during this pandemic.
For those affected by COVID-19, the organization has also made available additional resources through the Kroger Family of Companies Helping Hands fund to provide financial assistance to associates who face hardship due to COVID-19, including lack of access to childcare and for those considered higher-risk.
