Peggy Joyce Foley Ricks, 71 of Brazil, passed away March 31, 2020 at Cloverleaf Healthcare Facility. She was born September 21, 1948 in Enterprise, AL. the daughter of Fred William Brown and Mary Ann Granberry Brown. As a young girl they attended the Lutheran Church. She also attended Epworth United Methodist Church. She has always been a caring person and enjoyed crocheting blankets and other items for family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Diane Moore (Chazell) and a son Jerry Wayne Ricks; granddaughter Mariah Davis (Eric), Raeann Weathers, Raymond Weathers, Jr. and Reagan Weathers; one great-grandchild Charleigh Davis.

One sister, Fleta VanNess (Tim), brothers Charles Brown (Peggy), and Philip Brown; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Henry Wayne Ricks; brother Larry Brown and her long-time boyfriend, James Lawrence.

Services for the immediate family will be held Friday at 1:00, at French Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Russell officiating. Visitation will be from 12-1:00, with the limit of 10 people gathered in the building at one time enforced due to the pandemic. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Clay City.
