CLAY COUNTY, Ind – Police in Clay County are investigating an overnight shooting.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning at a home at 5131 West State Road 340.

At this point we believe that it was a domestic altercation.

Clay County Chief Deputy Josh Clark tells us that a 35 year old male was shot and is in critical condition. The victim was undergoing surgery Sunday morning.

Police are continuing their investigation and are interviewing all of those that were on scene and involved in the incident.

Other details have not yet been released.

Police told us that more information could be released Monday.
