Bobby Joe Nees, 53, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday April 12, 2020 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital.  He was born May 4, 1944 in Terre Haute to John Robert Nees and Lois Arlene Osborn Hamer.  He worked for the Vigo County School Corporation as a custodian. He was preceded in death by his father and stepdaughter, Davetta Thompson.

He is survived by his wife, the former Wanda Shireman, one stepson, William Innie of Corydon, IN., a stepdaughter Melanie Innie of Terre Haute, brothers, Robert Nees (Shannon) of Terre Haute, Brian Nees of Florida, and Terry Sawyer (Heather) of Terre Haute, sisters, Anna Guthrie of Clinton, IN., Vickie Nees of Terre Haute, and Tina Nees of Terre Haute, grandchildren; Marcus, Renae, Nathan, Crystal, Autumn, Michael, Makayla, and Samantha, 5 great grandchildren, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Cremation was chosen with care and arrangements entrusted to Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. Burial will be scheduled at a later date.  Online condolences can be made at www.greinerfuneralhome.com
