Regional Hospital Will Drop From Level 2 To Level 3 Trauma Center

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  – Terre Haute Regional Hospital is making some operational changes over the next few months.

The hospital says that they are going to transition from a level two trauma center to a level three.

Officials say that because of COVID-19 the hospital is not seeing as many of their regular patients. With the financial pressures of the pandemic, it was something they had to do to consolidate resources and make sure they could continue patient care for the long term.

The change will be made over the next three to four months.

The level three trauma program will start on August 1 of this year.
