PARKE COUNTY, Ind – Parke County Police are investigating damage to the Jackson Covered Bridge on B–Dale Rd.

Deputies say that a large box truck attempted to drive south across the bridge in violation of the height limit. The vehicle then struck two of the overhead support beams, damaging and breaking them. The vehicle then backed out of the bridge and left the area.

Deputies have yet to find the vehicle described as a white large box truck with blue lettering on the box, and also green striping on the rear of the box section.
