VIGO COUNTY, Ind – One person was killed, and another seriously hurt when running from police.

Indiana State Police say that around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday a Trooper tried to stop a motorcycle after seeing it travel at a high rate of speed and weaving in and out of traffic while southbound on US 41 near the fairgrounds.

Eventually the Trooper gave up the chase due to concerns for public safety.

The driver of the bike, 27-year-old Jack Beegle of Terre Haute, didn’t slow down and continued southbound on US 41 weaving in and out of traffic.
