Jacqueline J. Price, 83 of Brazil, passed away April 28, 2020 at Cloverleaf Healthcare Facility. She was born December 5, 1936 in Clay County, the daughter of J. Harry Jones and Margaret Starnes Jones. She graduated from Staunton High School and then later graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in Education. She taught Physical Education and Science at Clay Community Schools, Montezuma and at Riverton Parke, retiring in 1999. During her teaching years, she also coached girls’ basketball and volleyball.

On March 31, 1956, Jackie was united in marriage to William Price. They have served the Ebenezer Church for over 50 years. She played the organ or piano for services each week.

Survivors include her husband Bill Price of Brazil; children, John Price of Terre Haute, Ann Hayes and husband Greg of Brazil, and Jamie Webster and husband Danny of Brazil; grandchildren, Mica Amis (Joe), Mandy Block (Kelyn), Jenna Turchi (Travis), Hayley Staley (Austin), Lexee Hayes, Amy Smock (Bobby), Rebecca Schmitt (David), and Jamie Accardi (Joe); great-grandchildren, Mallory, Londyn, Eden, Maren, Judah, Rhoan, Leia, Ridge, Lennox, Blakeley, Cree, Audri, Taylor and Karen; and their extended church family.

Private family gathering will be held Friday with private burial at Calcutta Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Ebenezer Church.
