ILLINOIS – On Thursday the Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,563 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the state total to 52,918 cases.

141 additional deaths were also reported bringing the total to 2,355 Illinois residents that have died due to COVID-19.

So far Edgar County was one of only five Illinois counties without a confirmed case.
