Phyllis J. Cobble, 77 of New Goshen, passed away at 6:30 AM on Thursday, April 30, 2020 in her son’s residence.  She was born in Vermillion County on January 6, 1943 to George C. Carlson and Norma Nolan Carlson.

Phyllis was a homemaker and member of Trinity Church.

Phyllis is survived by two sons, Larry Cobble, II (wife Marti), and David Cobble (wife Melanie),  She is also survived by a brother, Ron Carlson, and two sisters, Marlene Carlson and Joyce Godbey, as well as eight grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Lee Cobble on July 20, 2014, a son, Jon Cobble in 2004, and a brother, Gerry Carlson.

Graveside services for Phyllis will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery on Monday, May 4, 2020 at 1:00 PM, with burial to immediately follow.  Arrangements are under the direction of Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN.
