VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind – The body of a missing Perrysville woman missing since March has been found.
Vermillion County Sheriff Mike Phelps says that a DNR Officer found the woman’s body north of Newport along the Wabash River last Thursday afternoon.
An autopsy confirmed the cause of death as being consistent with drowning.
Police say that her death was due to suicide.
Monday investigators used dental records to confirm that the body found was that of 50-year-old Vickie Hughes.
She had been missing since March 12th.
