MUNCIE, Ind. — A woman in her early 60s caught a burglar and made him return everything he stole from her.

Muncie police say, 27-year-old Cade Smith had broken into a storage shed on Sunday and began to pack his pockets and bag with several tools.

Someone living in the home heard him, and that’s when the woman ran outside. She didn’t even put on her shoes, said the Star Press.

When she walked up to the shed, police say Smith ran away.

The woman chased him into a wooded area and then drug him back to the shed and made him put back what he stole.

When police arrived they said they found the woman crouched in front of the storage shed, shouting at Smith.

Police searched him and found the tools in his pockets, and determined a lock on the shed had been pried open.

Smith was taken to the Delaware County jail and charged with burglary and theft.
