PARKE COUNTY, Ind.  – A post on the personal Facebook page of a Parke County Commissioner has drawn some criticism.

We along with WTHI-TV have been contacted about the post by Commissioner Jim Meece that said in part, “hope you die a horrible early death, and your kids grow up worthless.”

Meece confirmed to News 10 he wrote the post.

He said that it was a sarcastic angry rant that was in response to trash dumped along a county road that included dirty diapers, cigarette butts, beer cans, and rotten food. He was upset that someone would throw garbage along a Parke County road.

Meece said the post wasn’t to be taken seriously. He took it down and posted an apology.

There is no word on who tossed the trash along the county road.
