JASPER, Ind. — Two K9 officers are on patrol with some new gear.

Indiana State Police K9s Magill and Drogos now have body armor.

The two K9s were able to get the bullet and stab protective vests because of a donation from the non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s.

Vested Interest in K9s’ mission is to provide protective vests and other assistance to dogs in law enforcement and related agencies.

Since its start it has provided over 3,867 protective vests to K9s through private and corporate donations at a value of $6.9 million dollars.
