West Terre Haute Woman Allegedly Tries To Run Down Ex-Husband And His Friend

VIGO COUNTY, Ind – A West Terre Haute woman has been charged with felony battery with a deadly weapon, and misdemeanor charges of criminal recklessness, aggressive driving, driving while suspended and leaving the scene of an injury crash.

Last week 29 year old Amber Nichole Cooper drove to the home of her ex-husband and sent him a text message asking to come outside.

When Cooper and a female friend went outside, Amber Cooper allegedly drove her toward the woman’s vehicle, and then backed up before driving toward the woman and striking her with the car’s front bumper. She then drove off.

The woman that was hit was not seriously injured.

Video of the incident was recorded on a home security system.

Cooper was later found hiding in the basement of a home on Larimer Drive, where she was arrested.

Cooper is being held on $15,000 bond and is set to appear in court Tuesday (5/12/20)
