Winifred L. Garred, 87, of West Terre Haute, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 in Merrillville, Indiana.

She was born May 4, 1933 in West Terre Haute to Claude Houston and Josephine Cummins Houston.

Winifred was a housekeeper at St. Mary of the Woods College.

Winifred was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Donald Hayes, who passed away in 1976; and her second husband, Robert Garred.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Lindsay (Collin) of Merrillville; her sons, Jack Hayes and Shawn Hayes, both of West Terre Haute; her sister, Sue Walker of Sandford, Indiana; six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
