TERRE HAUTE,          Ind – A hostage situation that began around 1:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon has come to a peaceful end.

It happened at a home in the 1200 block of South Center Street.

Terre Haute Police say that 59-year-old Terryon Goliday had two large caliber weapons and held the female victim against her will.

After an approximately six hour standoff, hostage negotiators convinced Goliday to release the woman and surrender to officers.

Goliday was taken into custody without incident and charged with criminal confinement with a deadly weapon and intimidation with a deadly weapon.

He is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Tuesday (5/26/20).
