Peggy Sue Burns, 81, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on June 6, 2020 at Exceptional Living Center of Brazil.

Peggy was born on October 17, 1938, in Clay County, Indiana the daughter of James Oscie and Bessie (Ringo) Boyce. She graduated from Ashboro High School in 1957. Peggy married Eldon Burns on October 5, 1958. He preceded her in death in 2016, and she is also preceded by her parents James and Bessie Boyce. Peggy enjoyed sewing and cross stitch. She also enjoyed reading, cooking, and keeping house. Peggy was an active long-time member of Union United Methodist Church.

Peggy is survived by her two sons; Larry Burns and wife Jamie of Avon and Greg Burns and wife Becky of Brazil; grandchildren: Rachel Burns, Sarah Burns, Jonathon Burns; step-granddaughters: Stephanie Brubeck and Melissa Brubeck; 3 step great-grandchildren; a sister Mary McCullough and a brother Jim Boyce as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 from 11am until 1:00pm. Services will follow at the funeral home at 1:00pm with Pastor Jason Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
