Nearly 40 Animals Seized From Sullivan County Property

SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. – Sullivan Police and Sullivan County Humane shelter workers seized 38 animals on Friday (6/19/20).

Indiana State Police are conducting a criminal investigation but no details have yet been released.

The Sullivan County Humane Society is caring for the animals  that were seized from the property.

A warrant was issued for the property.

Shelter workers say some of the animals were left starving with no food or water.

Police say officers found dogs in small kennels.

Some of them had untreated wounds.

Shelter workers are treating the animals and nursing them back to health.

Indiana State Police will be turning over their findings to the Sullivan County Prosecutor for the possible filing of charges.
